Bill Downing, President and CEO, started Downing
Electronics in 1986 when friends began to notice the alarm system
in his own home and wondered if he could help them by installing
one in thier home. Soon, a retail store selling security system
and home automation components, all stocked to help do-it-yourselfer's,
was opened and the company began to grow. Customers found a company
they could trust for reliable equipment and a person wtih enough
knowledge of systems that could provide expert advice.
In 1996, Larry Lachance, joined forces with Performance to help
with the growth. Coming from a background in the professional
fire service and with 15 years of experience in the security industry
with a Fortune 100 company the trust and confidence that began
10 years earlier has today grown to a company that reaches happy,
satisfied, customers across the state of Florida and beyond. |

Security, Inc. is a Jacksonville based, locally owned and operated
full-service security installation and service company that provides
only the highest quality, security system sales, installation,
service, and monitoring for industry, business and homes in and
around Florida.
